The aim of this manual is to provide an overview of research on translation studies carried out in Romance-speaking countries. It mainly focuses on Romance languages, but also takes into account other languages as well as general aspects, for example, theoretical (models and theories of translation), linguistic (vocabulary, syntax, prosody), historical discursive (le role of Latin), or practical questions (dubbing).
